Introduction to ChuangGe Safe Lime Desiccant
Traditional lime desiccants are highly hazardous; they release intense heat rapidly upon contact with water, causing water to boil and potentially explode. As a strong alkali, contact with mucous membranes can cause burns and corrosion. Because traditional lime desiccants are inexpensive, effective, and readily available in daily life, cases of accidental ingestion, burns, and explosive injuries among children and the elderly occur frequently. Given the danger of traditional lime desiccants producing strong alkali and high temperatures when exposed to water, Dalian Chuangge Technology Co., Ltd. has specially introduced the "Safe Lime Desiccant," which does not generate heat, corrode, or cause burns.
After more than ten years of joint research and development with academic institutions, and countless improvements, Dalian Chuangge Technology Co., Ltd. has successfully mass-produced the "Safe Lime Desiccant." A thin film is coated onto the quicklime particles, a feature that prevents rapid, large-volume entry of liquid water while allowing water vapor to pass through normally and be absorbed.
The moisture absorption capacity and rate of the "Safe Lime Desiccant" are approximately equivalent to most traditional lime desiccants, and it can absorb moisture powerfully even at low relative humidity—a level of performance that silica gel desiccants, commonly used as a safer alternative, cannot achieve. Additionally, silica gel desiccants will release absorbed moisture when exposed to high temperatures, whereas the Safe Lime Desiccant, which relies on a chemical reaction for moisture absorption, will not release moisture back into the environment.
