Technical background

The main processes of producing hydrogen peroxide by anthraquinone process include fixed bed process and slurry bed process. The fixed bed process has become the mainstream of hydrogen peroxide production process due to its advantages of low investment, high yield, simple operation, low precious metal content of palladium catalyst, high activity, easy regeneration and safe use.

Due to the expansion of hydrogen peroxide market demand, increased production capacity requirements, palladium metal prices rose significantly and other factors, prompting palladium catalyst production process continuous improvement and optimization, on the basis of the first generation of traditional catalysts derived a second generation of efficient palladium catalyst, which has the advantages of less filling, higher production capacity, and lower maintenance and regeneration costs.

Since 2008, our company has entered the production field of fixed bed hydrogen peroxide palladium catalyst for the first time, from traditional palladium catalyst development to the current development and production of efficient palladium catalyst, long-term commitment to improve the surface physical and chemical properties of palladium catalyst carrier for hydrogen peroxide, as well as the optimization and improvement of catalyst preparation process. Thus, the hydrogenation activity of the catalyst is greatly improved while the selectivity is ensured, and the regeneration cycle and service life of the catalyst are greatly extended.

High efficiency palladium catalyst index: Production capacity ≥7.5kgH2O2(100%)/kgCat.d

Compared with the traditional palladium catalyst, the high efficiency palladium catalyst has a slightly smaller particle size, a significant decrease in bulk density, and a large hole on the catalyst surface, so it can ensure high yield and save investment and use cost while reducing the catalyst loading amount. In the process of catalyst production, the immersion depth of active components can be controlled by adjusting the type and amount of active component positioner pre-sprayed on the carrier, so as to extend the regeneration cycle and service life of the catalyst.

Compared with the use environment: traditional palladium catalyst is only suitable for fixed bed acid-alkaline environment, efficient palladium catalyst is not only suitable for acid-alkaline environment, but also suitable for all acidic environment.

Product characteristics

1) In the case of smaller pile density (0.5~0.6g/ml) can ensure a high compressive strength, so as to meet the service life requirements.
2) Because the impregnation depth of the active components of precious metals can be precisely regulated, the same production capacity can be guaranteed at the same time of the catalyst loading volume, thus reducing the amount of precious metal palladium, reducing the investment scale of manufacturers and reducing operating costs.

Operating condition

1. Under the same conditions, the reaction temperature is 65℃, the reaction pressure is 0.28MPa, and the hydrogen-oil volume ratio is 7.0

2. The working fluid is taken from the 15wt/a 50%H2O2 unit of Sinopec, and the limited anthraquinone content is 150g/L

3. Highly efficient anthraquinone hydrogenation catalyst in full acidic environment, with an average hydrogen efficiency of 11.68g/L and an average production capacity of 8.25kgH2O2(100%) /kgCat.d after six months of use. Compared with other catalysts in the same pilot plant in the same period, the performance of the catalyst has obvious advantages.
