Electrolyte drying
The dielectric constant of organic solvent is small, the ability to dissolve inorganic salt electrolyte is poor, and the electrical conductivity is not high (generally 0.1-0.01S/cm). Especially sensitive to trace water, water content must be controlled below 200ppm, HF must be controlled below 500ppm.
The electrolyte is a highly sensitive chemical to water, the main reason is related to the easy hydrolysis of LIPF6, and it is necessary to avoid the formation of harmful components such as HF and POF3 in the electrolyte water and destroy the SEI film. Therefore, in the electrolyte, the control of water has been relatively strict, usually required to be below 20PPM, and the actual production is generally controlled below 15PPM or even 10PPM.
