Product Introduction
Active alumina offers excellent mechanical strength and thermal stability; it does not soften, swell, or crack when immersed in water, and its cost is moderate. After drying, the dew point is ≤ –60 °C. It is widely used as a carrier for precious-metal catalysts, in oxygen generation, air drying and purification, electronic-gas drying, instrument-air drying for automated systems, and petrochemical drying, serving as both a desiccant and a purifier (dew point down to –60 °C). Its specific surface area is more than 20 % higher than that of conventional alumina, and under identical conditions it exhibits superior water-adsorption capacity and slower aging than other active aluminas. As a high-efficiency desiccant for trace-water removal, it meets the requirements of most industrial applications and is especially suited for zero-purge compression-heat regenerative dryers, micro-heat regenerative dryers, and heatless regenerative dryers.
