General:
Is a low toxicity, high efficiency, broad fungicides, mainly used for the control of mold. Can also be used in adhesives, polymeric emulsions, decorative wood surfaces, sealants and paints and other wet films to prevent the growth of fungi and bacteria.

Application field
Suitable for the marine industry as an antifouling agent. It is incorporated into paints and coatings to protect ship hulls, offshore structures, and other submerged surfaces from the attachment and growth of marine organisms such as barnacles, algae, and mussels. This not only enhances the performance and longevity of these structures but also reduces fuel consumption and maintenance costs for ships.
Beyond marine applications, DCOIT is also used in other industries to prevent microbial growth. It is found in products such as sealants, adhesives, and industrial oils, where it serves as a broad-spectrum fungicide and bactericide. Its ability to rapidly and irreversibly inhibit and kill bacteria, fungi, and molds makes it an essential component in maintaining the integrity and safety of these products.

Usage and Cautions
1. Suitable for use in all marine paints. Can effectively kill many bacteria and mildews like penicillium notatum, basidiomycetes, aspergillus niger, fusarium, and curvularia. Can be added at any production step for use; it is recommended to adopt the concentration of 5 ~ 15% (w/w).
2. Operational instruction must be strictly followed. Avoid any contact with the skin. Wear protective clothes, goggles, and rubber gloves in operation. Once any contact with the skin happens, wash the skin immediately with plenty of water and soaps; when it splashes into eyes, wash immediately with plenty of water and buffer solutions.
