At 10:40 am on February 28th, with the successful start of the entire process, Carbon Xin Technology successfully produced the world's largest single set of ethanol industrial production equipment, producing the "first barrel" of high-quality ethanol. The ethanol production plant of Phase II Methanol Comprehensive Utilization Project of Tan Xin Technology, relying on the main product methanol in Phase I as raw material, adopts DMTE process technology with independent intellectual property rights of Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences; After reaching production capacity, it can achieve an annual production capacity of 600000 tons of anhydrous ethanol, and is currently the largest anhydrous ethanol production unit in the world in a single series.
The methanol comprehensive utilization project, as an important part of Huaibei Mining Group's coal industry strong chain, chemical industry extension chain, and new industry supplement chain, is of great significance in promoting the coal chemical industry towards high-end, diversified, and low-carbon development. The successful production of the first barrel of high-quality ethanol has developed a new route for clean, efficient, and low-carbon utilization of coal, opened up a new track for non grain fuel ethanol technology, and marked a solid step in the group's high-quality transformation during the 14th Five Year Plan period; At the same time, as successfully selected as a typical demonstration project for the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry by the Anhui Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology in 2023 and a key research and development project by the Anhui Provincial Department of Science and Technology in 2023, it has contributed the "Huai Mining Power" to accelerating the promotion of new industrialization and building a strong province of intelligent and green manufacturing; Every year, we achieve a reduction of about 50000 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent, which also contributes to the realization of the national "dual carbon" goal through the "Huai Mining Intelligence".
The project will commence construction at the end of 2021 and will be officially handed over on October 20, 2023; The trial production was launched on December 28th, and on February 28th, 2024, it was successfully started in one go. The project was completed in 20 months and the entire process was started in 2 months.
